Fausto Rodriguez

I was born and raised in the countryside in the Central Andes, south of Quito. This gave me a tremendous opportunity to grow up side by side with nature, learn and appreciate all about it.

In 1990 my mum sent me on a two week holidays to Galapagos, I met people there, made new friends and fell in love with the islands. I began working as a mate aboard different boats, leading Spanish speaking groups. In 1996 I became officially a Galapagos National Park naturalist guide. The same year I migrated to the United Kingdom where I settled down in London where I finished my degree in Languages and Tourism. 

In 1999 I came back to Ecuador and began guiding again; I have led trips for companies such as Rolf Wittmer, Galapagos Travel, Enchanted Expeditions, Overseas Adventure Travel, and currently guiding for Angermeyer Cruises. I also lead trips to Patagonia in Chile and Argentina, and Macchu Picchu in Peru. I have a general focus in the wildlife, with strengths in Geology, Plants, birds, mammals. I love guiding and even though I have been there for a while I am still excited about the Galapagos and above all, I love it.

In 2004 I decided to form my own company and organize my own trips. I learnt and understood that Tailor made trips really are the best for customers. I want to give my trips the chance to explore not only nature but our culture too, an experience with a different dimension.
