The following are not included in the cost of the tour:

Airfare to Galapagos - at present (August 2007), the return trip is $357 from Guayaquil and $408 from Quito.
National Park entrance fee ($100)

snorkel and mask hire (it's best to bring your own)

Tips

If you are satisfied with the service and attention, at the end of the cruise, it is customary to thank (or “tip”). The Naturalist Guide and Crew are tipped separately.

Generally, the tip for the crew is handed to the Captain in an envelope (take some along) during the farewell cocktail. The Guide’s tip is handed personally and individually to her or him.

Tipping guidelines: $100.00 per passenger for the whole crew for the week (shared between 7/8 crew members ) and $50.00 for the guide.

Ecuador Departure Tax:

There is a departure tax on all international flights out of Ecuador. ($37.80 from Quito and $26.00 from Guayaquil)
