Itineraries for Peru and Macchu Picchu

10 days Peru, Cusco and Macchu Picchu

Day 1 Arrive in Lima and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Lima
Day 2 City Tour of Lima, including Plazas, museums, Cathedrals, etc.
Day 3 Early check out and transfer to the airport to catch flight to Cusco, where the group you will be met by our local guide and transferred to the Hotel. Once you have done the check in you may retire to your rooms to rest for a couple of hours and adjust to the altitude.

Visit to the Chinchero Market located in the outskirts of Cusco, this will give you the chance to have an introduction to Peruvian culture and observe the different handcrafts and souvenirs.

Back to  the hotel for a light lunch and after wards visit to the Plaza de Armas (cathedral). Dinner at the hotel followed by a briefing about  the next day activities.
Day 4 Visit to the Sacsayhuaman and Tambomachay Inca Fortress with Heeding Ceremony with a local Shaman. Visit to a local shop where you will have the opportunity to find exotic alpaca textiles. Lunch at the Tunupa restaurant, rest in the hotel and visit to the Qoricancha. (Sun’s Temple) Dinner at the Hotel
Day 5 After breakfast, check out and board the bus which will take us through the Inca Valley to catch our train in Ollantaytambo Town. Train ride down to Aguas Calientes where we will get off, board a bus and head towards the Sanctuary Lodge. Lunch. Visit to Macchu Picchu. Dinner.
Day 6 Second visit to Macchu Picchu (optional) to see the sun rise, or walk up to Huayna Picchu or just walk around the complex. Mid-morning check out and bus ride down to Aguas Calientes where you will have lunch in the  Hanacpacha hotel, before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo. Once we arrive there a bus will be waiting for us to take us the Sacred Valley, and on the way there will be opportunities to explore more of the local culture. Overnight in the Posada Yucay. Dinner.
Day 7 Visit to the Pisaq Ruins and the local market, lunch in the lodge, afternoon free with the option to visit a local orphanage for which we need to bring some gifts. (educational materials)
Day 8 Breakfast, check out and bus ride back to Cusco, check in hotel, Lunch in the Tunupa and afternoon free for shopping. Farewell dinner. 
Day 9 Early breakfast and check out to catch flight back to Lima. Once we check in the hotel there will be optional sight seeing. Farewell dinner at la Rosa Nautica which is located on a prime spot and serves the best seafood in Lima.
Day 10 Trip ends in Lima
