When to come to Peru and Macchu Picchu

During the dry season, from April to October, the weather is generally sunny. Temperatures are hot during the day and cold at night. The rainy season in Cusco occurs from November through March. Come prepared, and bring clothing according to the season. If you wish to visit the jungle, it is better if you come around May to September.

The Inca Trail is closed during February because of the rains. At this time, and during the rest of the year, Macchu Picchu can be visited by train from the town of Aguas Calientes.
