Even though the vessel is faster than the whales, approaches are never forced; rather, whales' wishes are respected.

The traditional whale-watching excursions include smaller crafts known as 'semirrígidos' which offer the possibility of a closer approach to the whales. Later, a trek across cliffs and dunes which comprise the surrounds of Port Pirámides, will give you the opportunity to see the whales again from another angle. The season for Southern Right Whales last from 01 July to 15 December.
